Congrats to 40Plus Member Noluthando Crockett-Ntonga, who was the subject of a great feature in today’s Washington Post Jobs section by freelancer Vickie Elmer about overcoming the “overqualified” response in your job search. It’s a wonderful success story for Nolu, and I’m delighted we were able to get it out to a broader audience, along with a closing mention of 40Plus and her new employer CARE. It’s the perfect holiday uplift during these tough economic times.
Thanks to Vickie and Nolu for a job well done.

Want to be in a Job Club?
December 15, 2008
Bob Guldin, the 40Plus job club coordinator, wants to help you find a job club that will support your work and/or career search. These job clubs are for 40Plus members only. They usually have weekly meetings, and offer both practical and emotional support, ideas for job search, contacts, accountability – stuff like that. Many people feel that job clubs are a real benefit of the extended 40Plus experience.
If you would like to be in a job club, or if you are currently in a job club that’s open to new members, please get in touch with Bob at guldin@starpower.net. That way, he can help to match up people with job clubs that will work for them. (It’s also useful simply to know which 40Plus-affiliated job clubs are out there, so please get in touch with that info too.)
